World Food Day is celebrated on the 16th of October every year.
This day is considered to be an international observance to raise awareness and take action to end hunger and malnutrition globally.
The theme of World Food Day 2024 is "Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future." This theme emphasises the fundamental human rights to accessible nutritious, affordable and sustainable food to ensure everyone's well-being and dignity.
On the day, students of SRVM presented an assembly shared importance of the day. The Principal addressed that we should not waste food at all, we should take healthy food and we should provide food to the needy as well.
After the assembly, different food stalls were organised by Cooking Club from where students bought dishes by their choice and enjoyed it.
